Welcome to Mettis, operated by Millis Digital LLC, a California limited liability company ("Platform," "Service," "we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account, accessing, or using the Mettis platform, you ("Player," "you," or "your") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.
We may update these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will provide at least 30 days' notice via email and/or a notice on the Platform before the changes take effect. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account or use the Platform. By registering, you represent and warrant that you are 18 or older. We reserve the right to request proof of age at any time and to suspend or terminate accounts that do not meet this requirement.
The Platform is available to residents of the United States, except in states where paid skill-based contests are restricted or prohibited. A current list of restricted states is maintained on the Platform and enforced through geolocation technology. As of the last update of these Terms, restricted states include: Arizona, Arkansas, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, Maine, Montana, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, and Washington. Additional states may be added or removed at any time based on changes in applicable law. It is your responsibility to ensure that participating in skill-based contests for prizes is legal in your jurisdiction.
If you reside in or are physically located in a restricted state, you may not participate in paid contests or maintain a funded wallet. We may use geolocation technology to enforce these restrictions. Attempting to circumvent geographic restrictions (via VPN or other means) is a violation of these Terms and grounds for immediate account termination and forfeiture of funds.
Each individual may have only one Mettis account. Creating multiple accounts is prohibited and will result in termination of all associated accounts and forfeiture of all balances.
Mettis is a skill-based competition platform. Contest outcomes are determined entirely by each player's physical reaction time — a measurable human skill. While contest conditions include a randomized delay before the "GO" signal (between 1.5 and 4 seconds), this randomization applies equally to all participants and does not determine contest outcomes.
Mettis contests are games of skill, not games of chance. Entry fees are paid for the opportunity to participate in a skill-based contest, not as wagers or bets on uncertain outcomes. Players compete based on their own demonstrated ability.
Participating in contests does not guarantee any financial return. Results depend entirely on your skill relative to other participants. Past performance does not guarantee future results.
You must provide accurate information during registration, including a valid email address and display name. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. We may request additional information such as date of birth or state of residence for identity verification purposes.
Your Mettis wallet stores funds for contest entry and receives contest prizes. Wallet balances are not bank deposits, are not insured by the FDIC or any government agency, and do not earn interest. Funds in your wallet are held in a segregated account maintained by our payment processor for the purpose of facilitating contest participation.
Deposits are processed through our third-party payment processor. The minimum deposit amount is $10.00 USD. Deposits are credited to your wallet only after payment confirmation. Processing fees may apply as disclosed during the deposit process.
The minimum withdrawal amount is $10.00 USD. Withdrawal requests are subject to review and approval. We reserve the right to verify your identity before processing withdrawals. Withdrawals are processed to your original payment method, or an alternative method if the original method is unavailable. Processing times vary but typically complete within 3-7 business days, and in no event later than 30 business days. If processing takes longer than 10 business days, we will notify you of the delay.
Each contest run consists of 3 reaction time attempts. Your final score is the floor of the average of your 3 attempts (lower is better). Entry fees range from $0.50 to $20.00 per run. Each paid run automatically enters you into both the active daily and weekly contests.

When a contest period ends, prizes are awarded to the top 3 players:
If fewer than 2 players participate, no prizes are awarded and the pool rolls over to the next contest period. If only 2 players participate, 1st place receives 70%, 2nd place receives 20%, and the remaining 10% rolls over to the next contest.
Players who achieve a final score below the boost target for their entry fee tier earn a performance bonus equal to 2x their entry fee, paid from the Boost Bank. If the Boost Bank has insufficient funds, the bonus is held and paid automatically when funds become available (first in, first out). Pending bonuses never expire. If your account is inactive for 12 or more months, we will attempt to contact you regarding any pending payouts. Unclaimed funds may be subject to applicable state escheatment and unclaimed property laws.
Daily contests close at midnight Eastern Standard Time (EST). Weekly contests close at midnight EST on Sunday. All times are EST regardless of daylight saving time.
A false start (tapping before the GO signal) immediately ends the run. The entry fee is still deducted, but the run does not count as a contest entry — no score is recorded on the leaderboard and no boost bonus is possible. In 1v1 matches, a false start instantly ends the match for both players — the false starter automatically loses and the opponent wins immediately without needing to finish their remaining attempts. The full pot (minus the platform fee) is awarded to the non-false-start player regardless of how many attempts the false-start player completed. If both players false start, the match is a draw and both are fully refunded with no platform fee. If a run is abandoned (browser closed, connection lost, or inactivity timeout), remaining attempts are scored as 2000ms and averaged with completed attempts. No refunds are issued for false starts or abandoned runs.
You may enter as many runs as you wish. Only your best score counts on the leaderboard. Each run costs an entry fee regardless of whether your score improves.
Players may compete in 1v1 matches against other players. Both players select the same entry fee amount (ranging from $0.50 to $100.00) and complete 3 reaction attempts simultaneously. The player with the lower average score wins. The platform deducts a 10% fee from the total pot (both stakes combined), and the winner receives the remaining 90%. In the event of a tie (identical scores), both players are fully refunded with no fee taken. 1v1 matches are separate from daily/weekly contests — they do not count as contest entries and do not trigger boost bonuses.
The Platform includes social features such as adding friends, viewing player profiles, and challenging friends to 1v1 matches. You may block any player at any time; blocked players cannot send you friend requests, challenge you, or view your profile. Friend challenges follow the same rules and fees as standard 1v1 matches. Mettis is not responsible for interactions between players. Harassment, abuse, or threatening behavior through social features is prohibited conduct and may result in account termination.
Mettis offers a referral program that rewards existing players for inviting new players. When a referred player signs up using a valid referral link or code and makes their first deposit of $10 or more, both the referrer and the referred player receive a bonus. Bonus amounts are tiered based on the first deposit amount (see Referral Program Terms for current amounts). Referred players must complete at least one (1) paid run before their referral bonus becomes eligible for withdrawal. Referrers may refer a maximum of twenty (20) new players per calendar month. Creating multiple accounts, using fake identities, or otherwise manipulating the referral program constitutes fraud and will result in account termination and forfeiture of all bonuses and balances. Referral bonuses may be modified, suspended, or terminated at any time. Bonuses already credited to wallets will be honored.
Mettis provides self-exclusion options allowing you to voluntarily restrict your access to paid contests. Available self-exclusion periods are 30 days, 90 days, 1 year, and permanent. During a self-exclusion period, you cannot enter paid contests, make deposits, or participate in 1v1 matches. Permanent self-exclusion cannot be reversed. If you select permanent self-exclusion, you will never be able to participate in paid contests on this account again.
You may set daily, weekly, and monthly deposit limits on your account at any time. Decreasing a limit or setting a new limit takes effect immediately. Increasing a limit or removing a limit requires a 24-hour cooling-off period before the change takes effect. This is designed to protect you from impulsive decisions.
Creating a new account to circumvent a self-exclusion period is a violation of these Terms. If we discover that a self-excluded player has created a new account, all accounts will be terminated and all balances may be forfeited. We employ technical measures to detect multiple accounts but cannot guarantee detection of all circumvention attempts.

The following activities are strictly prohibited and may result in account suspension, termination, and forfeiture of funds:
Mettis maintains an anti-money laundering (AML) compliance program and cooperates fully with law enforcement investigations.
We employ automated systems to detect suspicious activity, including but not limited to: reaction times below human capability (<50ms auto-rejected, <100ms flagged for review), unusual patterns, server-client timing discrepancies, and rapid-fire submissions. Flagged accounts are reviewed by our team. We reserve sole discretion to determine what constitutes cheating.
By using the Platform, you acknowledge and consent to continuous monitoring of your gameplay activity, including but not limited to reaction times, input patterns, device information, and network characteristics, for the purpose of maintaining fair play.
We may temporarily suspend your account if we detect suspicious activity, a potential Terms violation, or for security purposes. During suspension, you cannot play contests, deposit, or withdraw funds. Suspensions are temporary and will be reviewed within 14 business days. You will be notified via email of the reason for suspension and may respond with relevant information.
We may permanently terminate your account for confirmed violations of these Terms, including but not limited to: cheating, fraud, multi-accounting, circumventing geographic restrictions, or repeated prohibited conduct. Upon termination:
You may appeal a suspension or termination by emailing legal@mettis.gg within 30 days. Include your account email and any relevant information. Appeals are reviewed within 14 business days. The decision on appeal is final.
You may request account deletion at any time, provided your wallet balance is zero, you have no pending boost payouts, and you have no active or pending runs. Transaction records are retained as described in our Privacy Policy for legal and regulatory compliance.
Entry fees for completed runs, false starts, and abandoned runs are non-refundable. By starting a run, you acknowledge that the entry fee is final regardless of the outcome.
If a verifiable system error (server outage, database failure, or platform malfunction) prevents a run from completing fairly, we will issue a refund of the entry fee to your wallet. System errors must be confirmed by our team through server logs. Client-side issues (internet disconnection, device malfunction, browser crashes) are not eligible for refunds.
Deposits are non-refundable once credited to your wallet. If a deposit was made in error or you believe an unauthorized deposit was made, contact support@mettis.gg within 48 hours. Chargebacks or payment disputes initiated without first contacting us may result in account suspension.
All contest results and boost wins are verified by our automated anti-cheat systems before payouts are processed. We reserve the right to withhold or reverse payouts if post-payout review reveals fraud, cheating, or Terms violations.
Contest payouts are processed automatically when a contest period closes. Boost payouts are processed immediately when the Boost Bank has sufficient funds, or held in a FIFO queue until funds are available. Pending boost payouts never expire.
If we determine after a payout that the win was obtained through fraud, cheating, or a system error, we reserve the right to reverse the payout and deduct the amount from your wallet. If your wallet balance is insufficient to cover the reversal, your account will carry a negative balance that must be resolved before further play or withdrawal.
We may require identity verification at any time, including but not limited to: before processing withdrawals above $500, when cumulative winnings exceed IRS reporting thresholds, when suspicious activity is detected, or when required by our payment processor. Verification may require a government-issued photo ID and proof of address. You must complete verification within 14 days of the request or your account may be suspended. Documents are stored securely and retained only as long as necessary for compliance purposes, as described in our Privacy Policy.
You are solely responsible for reporting and paying all applicable taxes on your contest winnings. Under United States federal law, if your net winnings in a calendar year equal or exceed the applicable reporting threshold (currently $600), we are required to collect your taxpayer identification information (SSN or TIN via IRS Form W-9) and file an information return (Form 1099-MISC) with the IRS. We may withhold funds from your account as required by law if you fail to provide valid taxpayer information.
All content on the Platform, including text, graphics, logos, sounds, and software, is the property of Mettis or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any Platform content without our written permission.
THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE PLATFORM WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE ANY SPECIFIC RESULTS FROM USING THE PLATFORM.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, METTIS AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT OF ENTRY FEES YOU PAID IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
This limitation does not apply to claims arising from our gross negligence, willful misconduct, or violation of applicable data protection laws.
We shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations due to events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to: natural disasters, acts of government, internet or infrastructure outages, cyberattacks, payment processor downtime, or other force majeure events. In the event of a prolonged service disruption affecting active contests, we will make reasonable efforts to either extend the contest period or refund affected entry fees, at our sole discretion.
Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform shall be resolved through binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association (AAA) Consumer Arbitration Rules. Arbitration may be conducted virtually, by telephone, or in person in the county where Millis Digital LLC is headquartered, at the election of the party initiating the claim.
Mettis will pay all AAA filing fees, administration fees, and arbitrator fees for claims under $10,000 unless the arbitrator determines the claim is frivolous. For claims above $10,000, fees will be allocated as provided by the AAA Consumer Arbitration Rules.
Either party may bring an individual action in small claims court as an alternative to arbitration, provided the claim falls within the court's jurisdictional limits.
You may opt out of this arbitration agreement by sending written notice to legal@mettis.gg within 30 days of creating your account. Your notice must include your name, email address, and a clear statement that you wish to opt out of arbitration. If you opt out, disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in the State of California.
YOU AGREE TO RESOLVE DISPUTES WITH METTIS ON AN INDIVIDUAL BASIS ONLY. YOU WAIVE ANY RIGHT TO PARTICIPATE IN A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT, CLASS-WIDE ARBITRATION, OR ANY OTHER REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING. This class action waiver is an essential part of this arbitration agreement. If this waiver is found unenforceable, the entire arbitration agreement shall be void.
This arbitration agreement does not preclude you from bringing issues to the attention of federal, state, or local government agencies, including the California Attorney General.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of laws principles.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Millis Digital LLC and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from: (a) your use of the Platform; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any applicable law or regulation; or (d) your infringement of any third party's rights.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Platform (including specific features, game modes, or contest types) at any time, with or without notice. We shall not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Platform or any part thereof.
By creating an account, you consent to receive communications from us electronically, including via email and in-app notifications. You agree that all agreements, notices, disclosures, and other communications we provide electronically satisfy any legal requirement that such communications be in writing.
By creating a display name or providing any content through the Platform, you grant Mettis a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, display, and reproduce such content on the Platform (including leaderboards, player profiles, and contest results) for the purpose of operating and promoting the Service.
You may not assign or transfer your account, rights, or obligations under these Terms to any other person. Mettis may assign its rights and obligations under these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, sale of assets, or by operation of law.
Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that provision or any other provision. Any waiver must be in writing and signed by Mettis.
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, Referral Program Terms, and any other documents expressly incorporated by reference, constitute the entire agreement between you and Mettis regarding your use of the Platform. These Terms supersede all prior agreements, understandings, and representations.

The Platform is not intended for anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a person under 18, we will delete that information promptly. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.

Any pending boost payouts or contest prizes earned before your self-exclusion period will still be paid out to your wallet. You may withdraw these funds during self-exclusion. After the exclusion period ends, you must manually re-enable paid play.

These Referral Program Terms are subject to and governed by the Mettis Terms of Service, including the dispute resolution and governing law provisions therein. In the event of a conflict between these Terms and the main Terms of Service, the Terms of Service shall control.
